There are numerous evidence proving that the Platonic and Aristotelian
thoughts, even those of Socrates, are inspired by the Eastern, especially Persian,
thought. There are two reasons for this fact: First, the state of Greece at that
time and communication of the Greek with the East, especially frequent trips of
the Magi and Eastern clerics to Minor Asia, and those of the Greek scholars to
the East which paved the way for the acquaintance. Second, the sublime features
of Iranian ideal kings which were always the foundation of Iranian religious and
political thought. An ideal and just kingship has been a title whose necessary
virtues have had similarities with divine perfection. The present study insists on
the influence of the Ancient Iranian Ideal Kingship Theory on the Western
Philosophers, especially Plato.

With the victory of the Islamic Revolution and establishment of a religious
democracy in Iran, the question about compatibility of Islam and democracy has
become a fundamental issue. This article aims to answer whether it is possible to
locate origins of the theory of religious democracy in pre-Revolutionary Islamic
thinkers. The hypothesis of the article is that it is possible to find a pattern for
religious democracy in the thought of the religious scholars such as Morteza
Motahhari, which served as a pioneer for theoretical debates in this field. The
article uses the current-discourse method to obtain Motahhari’s views about
democracy and its relation with religious democracy and its established form in
the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Political tolerance and permission of activity for all groups and political parties,
is an inseparable component of democracy, especially in countries like Iran with
various groups and political parties, each of them has a unique outlook and
approach. Lack of political tolerance, prevents the creation of solidarity in
achieving the goals of the political system and political will at the highest levels
of political violence. This question has two parts: what is the level of political
intolerance in this sample? What factors are affecting the political tolerance?
Therefore, the aim of this study is to survey, measure of the political tolerance
and its influencing factors among students in Ferdowsi University. According to
the theoretical background, social capital variables, political awareness,

The new generation of studies on security is an outcome of the transition from
the Cold War that has turned the traditional concepts and definitions of security
to something new that includes diverse aspects such as political, economic,
social, and environmental matters. This study attempts to discuss and analyze
one of the most dangerous and complicated threats of the world security and an
effective variable on the Islamic Republic of Iran`s security, namely ISIS. In fact,
the study is carried out to answer this fundamental question, “How can Iran`s
security be effected by ISIS as a threat?”. The qualitative analysis of available
data reveals that ISIS presence and influence in the region in terms of security to
act as a double-edged sword for Iran's security. Ignorance about each edge of
the abovementioned blade can result in the flawed analysis of ISIS impacts on
Iran's security. This article is an applied research with qualitative research
method in which an attempt is made to measure the impact of the independent
variable of "ISIS" on "Iran's security".

Yemen crisis is one of the challenging issues in the Middle East which has been
determined, so far, by regional and global powers. As two regional powers, Iran
and Saudi Arabia are among the countries which has demonstrated opposite
behaviors in this issue. Different approaches in decision making in these two
countries has caused them to adopt a contrastive foreign policy toward their
areas as a result of different subjective and objective interpretations. The
current crisis in Yemen is among challenging domains between Iran and Saudi
Arabia. Here, the controversy between the two concepts of Shiite's Islam and
Wahhabi's islam have dragged the two countries' relations towards a regional
cold war. Therefore, the present study aims at analyzing and revising the
contrast between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Yemen's current crisis.
