Historical facts show that national identity is a constant process and should be noted here that when a nation is formed, it does not continue by itself and the notion that it does not require any effort is wrong. On the contrary, the nation are exposed to ups and downs. Thus, discourse-based products of a country's currents can affect nation-building processes. Identity as social foundations emerge in the process of social foundationalism with reliance on collective memory and all epistemological sources, taking into account that social objective structure redefines and re-interprets with the passage of time. They are constantly used for reinterpretation in light of different methods used to explain the concept.
The leftist flow or what the researcher names it socialism Marxism, is selected as one of the influential flows in contemporary Iranian history for the following research. This paper, while comprehending the evolution of national identity in the course of history, has come to a pattern of identity discourse in the mentioned flow.

This article seeks to answer the question of which layers and elements are the cultural identity of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the document "Elements of Iranian National Identity"? The achievements of this research show that cultural identity in the document of the elements of Iranian national identity consists of two layers of Islamic cultural identity including elements such as spirituality and monotheism, Islam and the religion of Shiism and Quranic education, cultural convergence, the elimination of oppression and oppression, Ordinary, ethics, customs, and traditions, the practice of the Prophet's sake, is the never-ending justice, expectation and historical mission of the Iranian people, and the cultural identity of Iranians including elements such as cultural heritage and ritual, Iranian architecture, Scholars and science-friendship, Iranian history, defense of the land, memory and collective memories, Iranian civilization, Persian language and Persian font, Iranian ethnos and groups with beautiful subcultures that can lead to the cultural, spiritual and national identity and solidarity among the Iranian people. It should also be noted that the document does not mention any modern Iranian identity. To answer the question, a qualitative and quantitative content analysis method is used.

Evaluation of the youth national Identity as the most vital, the most legitimate andthe most common type of collective identity, and the study of the factors influencingit, is one of the issues that have been the constant concern of sociologists andpolitical thinkers. The main concern in this respect is to preserve and enhance thecitizens’, especially the youth, sense of belonging and commitment to concepts suchas history, culture, state and the political system. One of the things that have comescarcely into theoretical and empirical examination is the impact of socialnetworking on a National Identity. Networks intensely touch the intra-group andinter-group interactions and communications of people and seem to influencenational identity and national consolidation.This study aims to investigate the issue of whether social networks can affectstudents’ national identity and how much they do so. The method used is surveyand data were collected using questionnaires distributed among a sample of 294university students in 2013-2014. Their reliability was calculated in formalmethods, and their validity was assessed using Cronbach's alpha, and finally,they were analyzed by 22SPSS software.The findings of this study suggest that there is strong and significantrelationship between inter-group networks and four dimensions of nationalidentity, namely, the socio-cultural, historical, political and territorial identity.The abovementioned networks have more impact on the socio-cultural, political,historical, and territorial identity, respectively. Also, despite the impact of intragroupsocial networks on political and socio-cultural identity, the total value didnot confirm any correlation between students’ national identity and intra-groupnetworks.
